JUMERIAH BEACH HOTEL

The Atkins designed hotel was the first Jumeriah property in Dubai. Opened in 1997 the wave-like structure became an original icon of Dubai development. 20 years later Dubai-based interior design house “Engineering Office” were engaged to overhaul the hotel interiors.

1,200M2 of exterior SFS infill was specified to tackle some of the most challenging areas in the design. Where lightweight was the only option, Hadley SFS Infill was the selected to fulfil the Engineering Office design. In partnership with Knauf, Hadley engineers assisted with the designs and structural calculations, ensuring the system selected was fully compliant and absolutely fit-for purpose.

SUBSTANTIAL TIME AND COST SAVINGS

There is a significant saving in Main Contractor Time Related Preliminaries when using The Hadley Steel Frame compared to traditional blockwork. The magnitude of this potential cost saving is largely driven by a shorter overall construction duration.
